whole world celebrates his birthday as "WORLD AHINSA DIWAS".

He is the first man who applied new weapon on British Rule. ask your right without violence. He never bowed before the British rule. Many times he had to face the sticks of the British.

Before starting any movement, he used to inform the British.

The British also respected him a lot.

Several movements were run "Non co-operation" "Quiet India" "Dandi March", "British leave India".Due to their untiring efforts, the British freed India on 15 august.
